Senior Project Manager – Fort Worth

This is a Full-time position in Fort Worth, TX posted March 27, 2021.

Senior Project Manager in their Fort Worth, TX Office. The candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of civil/highway/bridge transportation projects as well as assisting in developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships.  The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead large multidiscipline transportation projects. Experience with schematic development and/or major freeway design is desired. 

 

Basic Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality and safety

• Assures that projects conform to the contractual agreements

• Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget

  • Responsible for client satisfaction
  • Provide team leadership.
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians
  • Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model
  • Assists with the implementation of the Texas Area marketing and business development goals  
  • Assists with writing proposals and making presentations
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility
  • Perform Independent Reviews of major projects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering field required

• 12+ plus years of progressive experience in design and management of major highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projects

• Strong communications skills

• Project management and contract administration experience

  • Ability to lead a design team on multiple assignments

• Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software
  • Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak/Openroads technology

• Licensed TX Professional Engineer required or ability to obtain within six months

• Travel Requirements: Approximately 10-15%

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for TxDOT

• Strong relationships within TxDOT urban district(s) and various other local public agencies.

• TxDOT precertification in Schematic Development, Major Roadway and Bridge Design categories

• Business development skills and the proven ability to win work.
