Industrial Sales Manager


This is a Contract position in Lubbock, TX posted March 26, 2020.

GPI is an established distributor & manufacturer of top quality industrial sealing devices and maintenance products.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine Engineering talent and Sales Engineering skills while expanding upon an established customer base within the Texas Panhandle.

Company website : We are currently seeking an Industrial Sales Manager for our West Texas Area The Sales Manager Position is responsible for holding sales team accountable to company policies and procedures.

The Sales Manager is also required to work with, and be responsible, for our Fluid Sealing Specialists sales team to continue to develop GPI required sales team traits: Traits: Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers along with planning and organizing territory.

Prepares cost estimates based on related customer needs; consulting with engineers and other professional and technical personnel.

Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.

Obtains orders by conferring with GPI technical support staff.

Develops customer’s staff by providing technical information and training.

Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives Responsible for holding sales team accountable to company policies and procedures Contributes, and encourages, team effort by accomplishing related results through the whole GPI Team.

Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Identifying Customer Needs, Product Development & Presentation Skills, General Programming Skills, Technical Understanding of Mechanical Equipment, Verbal Communication Skills, Requirements Analysis, Innovation, Strong Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills, Strong Self Discipline and Organizational Skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office & other Software Programs.

This position requires an individual with an entrepreneurial personality, self discipline, and the desire to grow the business and develop a high income career.

Candidates should have a stable employment history and verifiable proof of successful accomplishments and self-discipline.

Requirements Education: Minimum 3 years experience in sales of Industrial Products OR Engineering experience preferred with a verifiable track record of success Organizational accomplishments, that show a high level of self discipline BA, BS degree preferred with a high GPA, or other verifiable accomplishments that show a high level of self discipline and accomplishments.
