Job Summary

This Position Is Responsible For Collaborating With Solutions Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, And Infrastructure Service Management Teams In The Design And Build Of Infrastructure Solutions/Blueprints For Area Of Responsibility. Participating In The Design And Build Of Repeatable Patterns (Build-Kits) To Improve Deployment Times For Non-Prod And Prod Environments. Transitioning Knowledge To Infrastructure Operations.

Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 5 years in Information Technology or relevant experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 7 year Information Technology experience OR 9 years Information Technology experience.

  • Experience with Mainframe technologies (e.g., z/OS, CICS & MQ, DB2, VASM, Job scheduling, central print, web, middleware, integration, storage, backup / restore, replication and disaster recovery).
  • Strong knowledge of MQ Internals and a fair amount of MQ systems and Application programming background
  • Strong experience of CICS Internals and CICS systems programming.
  • Extensive experience in resolving performance issues in a mainframe online and database environment.

At least 4 of the following tools experience:

o Omegamon
o Intellimagic
o Dynatrace
o MXG
o APA
o RMF
o SMF

  • Excellent understanding of System z architecture, CICS, MQ and DB2
  • CICS Transaction Services v6.x
  • MQ V7/V8/V9 experience on zSeries
  • Building CICS region
  • Experience with CICSPlex environment
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system related abends and issues
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
  • CICS intercommunication setup and maintenance
  • Experience with Omegamon for CCIS Monitoring Tool
  • Experience with setting up CICS Web Services
  • Experience with Scripting and Automating process and procedures
  • Experience with CICS advanced features and functionality (CPSM, LOGR, Web Services, SSL) and ability to collaborate with application developers on application design
  • Experience with implementing and supporting MQ shared queues and MQ cluster configurations.
  • Building MQ regions
  • Operating with CICS adapter control functions to initiate and manage connections between WebSphere MQ and CICS
  • Managing Websphere MQ resources (BSDS, Pagesets, buffer pools, logs)
  • Experience with CICS products – CICS Explorer, C/Parse, CAFC, XPEDITER for CICS, Finalist, GENTRAN, Key/101, Abend-Aid CICS

Preferred Job Qualifications:
