This is a Contract position in Irving, TX posted September 14, 2020.

▶ About This Opportunity Responsible for sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts in the area of store construction and related Development services.

Specific categories include Construction Services, Materials, Equipment, Development Services, Maintenance and Outsourced Relationships, Store Supplies.

Manage suppliers to determine specifications and requirements for construction services.

Source suppliers and negotiate contracts for store construction and related Development services.

Develop purchase orders requests to support materials and services procurement, tracking orders upon purchase orders confirmation and providing general equipment and services management support to Operations and/or Project Managers.

Interview potential suppliers and determine if supplier is qualified to produce and/or supply products or services.

Includes a review of supplier’s production capability, ability to meet deadlines, and financial background.

Work with supplier during testing of the product or service.

Coordinates and communicates company recommendations and revisions for the product or service.

· Education: Bach/4 Yr Degree
· CPM
– Certified Purchasing Manager certification a plus
· Experience: 2-4, Procurement or strategic sourcing experience & supplier knowledge, materials management.

· Retail construction knowledge a plus.

· Proven negotiation experience and skills required.

· A clear understanding of construction procurement procedures.

(i.e.

forecasting, purchase order transactions, material at vendors, developing buying rules, etc.).

· Experience in an ERP driven sourcing environment is required.

· Oracle Purchasing and / or Ariba Sourcing a plus.

· Strong organizational skills, understanding of legal aspects, negotiating skills, purchasing terminology, cost analysis, and government regulations (EPA, UL, NSF, etc.).
