Wireless Field Engineer


This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted March 21, 2021.

Description This position is responsible for providing customer service, support, and engineering for in-building wireless voice and data systems. Shehe will need to provide professional onoff-site support for commissioning and troubleshooting of in-building wireless systems as well as provide remote telephone support for customers. The successful candidate will become a subject matter expert for all technical issues related to the Client Wireless Product Family. Key Responsibilities Manage relationships and communicate effectively with external and internal customers Provide remote andor on-site support to customers about the technical details of the Client Wireless product line Create andor execute acceptance test plans for new installations and upgrades Troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve, replicate and report software and hardware issues -Technical documentation for troubleshooting results (root cause, software, etc.) through Case Management and Quality Management systems Drives issues to closure with strong focus on customer satisfaction and acceptance Troubleshoot interface between Client system and customerrsquos network Work with project manager and project team to ensure successful project deployments Interface with other support, NPI and engineering resources to provide in-depth technical responses to customers Provide training support and on-site customer education about Client products Coordinate with TAC support, RD and PLM to research product capabilities, performance and field applications Contribute Tech Notes, providing details on the optimum strategies for effective implementation of Client products Minimum Requirements (Must Education, Total Years of Experience ndash Knowledge, Skills Abilities) Bachelor of Sciences or an Engineering degree or equivalent of 5 ndash 10 years of relevant professional experience in the respective field 5 ndash 10 years of experience in mobile infrastructure technology deployments including systems architecture, deployment, troubleshooting and network operations Experience with filed deployment, acceptance processes, and support services Experience and knowledge of deploying Small Cells andor Distributed Antenna Systems A demonstrated ability to learn new products andor technologies in a dynamic fast paced environment Background in Wireless, Mobility, Cellular, TCPIP Networking, RF Engineering or System Performance Detailed knowledge of IP Protocols including IPv4, IPv6, IPSEC, routing and network protocols Understanding of Cellular technologies and trends A technical understanding of networking protocols and security mechanisms, such as SNMP, SIP, TR-069, SSLTLS, LDAP, Radius, SOAPXML Understanding of carrier network architectures used today to deliver datavoicevideo services Ability to effectively communicate various levels in the organization through all available mediums (verbal, listening, writing, presenting)
