We are hiring a Vice President, Business Development to join our rapidly growing Payer Solutions team.

Focusing on high-priority, new business opportunities, this role will play an integral part in the continued growth of the Company by developing, scoping and managing complex, strategic deals to closure and ensuring seamless transition to internal account management teams.

– This is an individual producer role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Achieve personal and company revenue targets by identifying and closing new business partnerships
  • Manage entire sales process from prospecting to closure and subsequent transition to implementation team and internal operations
  • Uncover customer needs and map to the company’s unique value proposition
  • Proactively promote the visibility and stature of the organization both internally and externally
  • Accurately and realistically forecast pipeline
  • Negotiate and structure business partnerships
  • Uncover and surface competitive and industry insights with management team
  • Contribute to standardizing the scoping and contracting process 

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of relevant sales or business development experience carrying a multi-million dollar quota
  • Direct experience selling or partnering on complex solutions with health plan customers
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business or science degree preferred
  • Highly-energetic and enthusiastic, with a tech-savvy, forward-thinking mindset
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for learning new markets and technologies
  • Leads and behaves with the highest sense of integrity
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable in highly dynamic, rapidly scaling environments
  • Results-focused and self-motivated, with a flexible and entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Innovative thinker with a deep understanding of the healthcare environment and 
  • the ability to identify profitable business opportunities
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate and exploit new business opportunities
  • Fluency with multiple tools for CRM and market assessments 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Exhibits and drives a strong commitment to innovation in healthcare
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain strong relationships both inside and outside the organization
  • Effective influencer of senior internal and external stakeholders

Expectations at 6 Months:

  • Established pipeline of prospect clients in defined territory
  • Able to articulate company vision and product offerings to executive and front line prospect contacts
  • Expansion of prospect pool to senior and executive levels
  • Deliver on current year program new sales expectations
  • Collate learnings from initial introduction to programs and present best practices and ways to improve to SVP, Payer Solutions and Commercial team leadership
