Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer, you would be part of a passionate team of training and design professionals to design effective and engaging curricula for team members across the organization. Our Learning and Instructional Design Team works cross-functionally with departments to ensure training content helps team members meet strategic goals throughout the Company. Your exceptional writing skills, coupled with your ability to build relationships with team members across the organization, will make you key in creating a variety of training materials such as job aids, manuals, and e-Learning scripts – allowing you to not only help develop the skills of others within the Company, but also to grow and develop yourself.

This position is based in-office. The health and well-being of our Team Members, their families, and our customers remain a top priority for us. Currently, in our stores and Corporate offices, we’re practicing social distancing, encouraging face coverings (unless otherwise required by law), and considering state, local requirements and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to help ensure a clean and safe environment for all. As the situation evolves, changes may be made to our practices, in line with state and local mandates as well as CDC-guidelines.


Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance. A full-time work schedule for this position includes, at a minimum, 40-hours per week.

Write easy-to-understand instructions and explanations for a wide variety of information, including financial and statistical content.

Create engaging tutorials to help learners use a variety of applications, working with subject matter experts to develop and ensure accurate content.

Edit, standardize, and revise materials prepared by non-writers, as well as review, recommend changes, and make revisions to currently published materials, while maintaining records and files of all work and revisions.

Maintain currency with Company developments to determine the need for revising currently-published and in-development projects.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, Communication, or a related field
  • 3+ years of technical writing or relevant experience
  • Ability to write a range of materials from technical to entertaining, while maintaining the integrity of the learning content
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
