MPX Dev Group seeks a Senior Security Engineer to join our new entity!The position will report to the Director of Information Security and is fully remote.We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer who is ready to make a significant impact by implementing best practices you’ve learned throughout your career, whether that’s 5 years or 20 years. Each of our employees are dedicated to one or more social causes and are empowered to contribute their time, effort, and company-matched resources to support them.  Although we focus on our internal customers today, we have large goals at MPX Dev Group to quickly expand externally.The Senior Security Engineer will support the full integration of cyber security and engineering standards into all phases of acquisition, upgrade, and modification of current systems and future programs. This includes design, development, testing, fielding, operation and sustainment.Responsibilities include:Provide cybersecurity engineering expertise to implement best practices and security tools.Act as a mentor to other Security team members. Conduct security, vulnerability, compliance, and risk assessments on corporate systems.Apply security knowledge to the system’s concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all systems.Stay current with security industry trends, emerging threats and vulnerabilities.The qualified candidate will possess: Strong familiarity with ISO, NIST, CIS or similar security frameworks and ability to apply to system security control designIIaaS/Cloud security experience – AWS a plusConducting enterprise security reviewsExpertise with security tools for vulnerability, audit log, and end-point monitoringNessus Security Center, SonarQube, Guard Duty, Splunk, and/or CrowdStrike a plusSkilled with application testing software such as Burp Suite, Tenable, etc.Familiarity with Data Monitoring tools such as ProofPoint, AWS Macie, etc.Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Perl)Data governance tools (example: ActiveNav)Email management – example ProofPoint, Mimecast) etc.)Application security (OWASP knowledge a plus)Deep Identity and Access control experience (specifically AD, LDAP, Cognito, AWS IAM, and/or MFA preferred)Skilled working with:  o   Web filtering technology o   Network intrusion defense systems o   Data leak protection o   Inventory managemento   Intrusion prevention systems o   Firewalls o   Network tabs, traffic aggregators and filters o   Forensic investigations and relevant tools o   Identity management tools, AD, LDAP, web front end and virtualization o   Cloud architecture, configuration and deploymentWindows and Linux OS  Min Requirements:  Minimum of 6years in Information Security experience B.S. in computer science, engineering or related field (Qualifying work experience may be substituted for degree)One or more industry-standard security certifications: CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, CEH, CCSP, GIAC (any) certification(s) a plus  Corporate Core Competencies: Adaptability – Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needsInitiative – Deals with problems as they arise, focusing energy and resources on those situations until resolved; identifies new opportunities and takes action; takes on new responsibilities when neededResults Focus – Can be counted on to meet or exceed goals; pushes self and others for results; is a conscientious worker who can be relied upon to handle unforeseen obstaclesCustomer Focus – Meets internal and external customer expectations; delivers upon commitments; build customer confidence; follows through on requests gaining trust and respectEthics/Integrity – Is seen as a direct, truthful individual; adheres to appropriate core values at all times; acts in line with those values; rewards the right values and disapproves of others; practices what he/she preaches
