Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is to support company global supply chain strategy with focus on developing and executing global supplier quality strategy. Accountable for developing KPIs and track quality performance of suppliers. Develop quality monitoring system to gather, track device performance and quality at Brinks countries globally. Play leading role to work with suppliers with Corrective and Preventive Actions for timely quality resolution. Manage and track Brinks warranty data by working with 3rd party warranty companies, Brinks countries service providers and Brinks global device suppliers. Other responsibilities include managing agent/vendor relationships, contract and performance, and supporting other business functions as required.

This position collaborates with Global Product, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Legal, Brinks countries, and various other departments to advance the company’s strategic plan and strengthen our supply market solutions to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate supplier quality process into product development based on accelerated launch schedules.
  • Assists with the evaluation and approval of supplier requested changes or improvements
  • Engage in internal/external CAPAs, improvement, and design change opportunities.
  • Drive performance monitoring and corrective actions – Monitors supplier performance (scorecard) to drive supplier corrective action and field failures.
  • Develop, track critical component failure rate trending and remediation.
  • Prepare and analyze data performance metrics, communicate results to the leadership team.
  • Collect data and submit the Root Cause Corrective Action summary in 8D format.
  • Lead investigations into reoccurring quality issues; drive issues to closure.
  • Monitor, track service and warranty cost, and lead continuous improvement in warranty/service cost.
  • Responsible for Supplier Quality Performance (On-site / Virtual Assessments, Scorecards, Metrics, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a related field required.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in a large, multi-country company environment
  • 3 Years finish goods and component commodity experience.
  • Problem-solving tools such as 5 WHY, Fishbone, 8D, DOE.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Functional knowledge of industry standards such as ISO9001.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience from companies that manufacture complex electromechanical products
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is desired

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
  • High level of comfort working in spreadsheets, software systems with a high level of ease and speed.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
