You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing a scalable, maintainable Linux environment that meets business objectives and SLAs.

As Senior Systems Specialist (Linux), You Will…Manage and maintain the Linux server environment which consists of CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu installations including deployment of new servers on a VMware platformInstall and configure physical servers in a data center environmentMaintain compliance with established patching and updating requirements (OS & third-party software patching)Develop and maintain automation infrastructure and code to manage OS and application deployment and configurationTroubleshoot issues as they arise from top to bottom including hardware, storage, operating system, and application where necessary includes debugging and packet captureDesign and implement solutions that are requested by the business including research into various options availableManage and deploy common Linux applications including mail, web, DHCP, databases, proxy, and syslogScripting and coding to automate or improve routine tasks, generate reports, or manage systems/applicationsIntegrate systems and applications into an Active Directory environmentSecure systems according to corporate security policy, remediate vulnerabilities where identified, offer advice on improving security where possibleManage code within a version controlled environmentCode compilation and packaging into standard Linux package formats such as RPM and DEBMaintain and improve local package repositories for Linux applicationsHandle network configuration at an OS level with knowledge of basic routing and Linux netfilter (iptables) layersInstallation, configuration, and maintenance of application servers such as Tomcat and JBossWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the Linux environmentLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionMaintain accurate documentation and designs of IT systems configurations, architecture, and operating procedures.Participate in disaster recovery planning activities and development of disaster recovery plansParticipate in information security monitoring, incident management and investigations as requiredPerform internal audit of the IT systems configuration and Logical Access reviewsParticipate in after hours on-call support rotationTravel may be requiredRequirementsAs Senior Systems Specialist (Linux), You Have…A computer science or engineering degree, community college diploma in a technology field, or equivalent industry experienceDeep understanding of Enterprise systems (e.G.,Virtualization, Enterprise Backup,Network block storage, clustering and load balancing technologies, Linux )Experienced with certificate issuance, usage, renewal, and public-key encryption conceptsPreferred vendors: VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory, Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, and UbuntuGood understanding of VOIP communications.Familiarity with automation process and tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or similarUnderstanding of single sign-on technologies such as Kerberos, OAuth2, and SAMLAbility to execute systems and services implementation and upgrades individually or as a team playerProven ability to communicate in both user-friendly and technical language with all levels of an organizationStrong time management, change management, analytical and problem solving skillsDetailed oriented, organized with technical design & documentation skillsAbility to learn new technologies on the fly in a dynamic environmentTechnology specialist and a team player with ability to multitaskAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment, and respond to emergency situations effectively By signing this application, the applicant consents to 24-7 Intouch collecting, using and retaining his Her personal information for purposes relating to the application process and if hired, the employment relationship.Any and all personal information collected is held in the strictest confidence and in accordance with all applicable Privacy Laws.
