Assembly Technician


This is a Full-time position in College Station, TX posted March 1, 2021.

Lynntech/ ODS is seeking a full-time Assembly Technician candidate to join a small and dynamic team manufacturing new and innovative products.The candidate is expected to assist in the following functions as part of this position:* Manages workload to meet production schedule by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.* Positions components and subassemblies using jigs, fixtures or reading measurements.* Ensures components are properly assembled by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.* Performs test/inspection using a variety of test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and industry standards.* Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.* Maintains proper inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating demand needed to meet production schedules; placing and expediting orders for supplies and materials;* Performs incoming inspections, verifies accuracy of received orders, properly label and store items within the inventory room.* Support and develop Work instructions, SOP’s and Contract Requirements.* Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.* Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.* Self-motivated and works well in a in a team-oriented environment* Performs other duties as assignedQualifications* High school diploma or equivalent is required* Associates or Technical degree in electronics a plus.* General knowledge in Electrochemical Manufacturing a plus* General knowledge of part assembly drawings and assembly drawings.* Unit is both mechanical and electrical in nature. Prior work history in a manufacturing or laboratory experience is required.* Fluency in written and oral English is required.* Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to counter height on a regular basis and occasionally lift and move heavier objects.Position is expected to begin about 12/1.Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online at Feel free to include a cover letter or expanded resume to outline how you fit this position.
