Job Description Job Summary The Database Developer Support II reviews, maintains, and enhances company data flows.

Monitors database performance and works to resolve contention issues.

Writes and enhances code, addressing technical debt.

Ensures batch jobs are running properly and at an optimal schedule.

Writes code for database access, modifications, and constructs related to Stored Procedures and SSIS packages.

Job Duties Investigates, troubleshoots, and corrects data and user related system errors, and ensures data integrity.

Develops, maintains, and implements operational and reporting database systems utilizing the latest techniques in data modeling and ETL concepts, from business requirements to technical design to finished product.

Monitors and contributes to SQL Server in an enterprise environment including installation, configuration, jobs, backup, recovery, upgrades, and schema changes.

Implements database solutions and ensures quality assurance and timely delivery of data.

Contributes to support an IT roadmap that is forward thinking and sets the ground work for reducing maintenance cost while meeting or exceeding business objectives further this goal.

Ensures compliance with Exeter s policies and procedures, safety, state laws, federal laws, regulations and standards.

Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field of study.

Two (2) plus years of job-related experience.

Working knowledge of software design and enterprise architecture patterns.

Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, and SSIS.

Working knowledge of ETL process, procedures, and enterprise tools Active Batch experience a plus.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve challenging problems in an efficient, maintainable, and flexible way.

Strong analytical skills related to solving information flow issues, data inconsistencies, and SQLT-SQL debugging Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
