Human Resources Supervisor

Human Relations, Resources & Benefits Company Name: Signet Maritime Corporation Company Location: Ingleside, Texas Location Job description Signet Maritime Corporation has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented, self-motivated and organized Human Resources Professional in the Ingleside office.

Signet is seeking an individual with the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced and ever changing environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient while always maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities 1.

Support the President in day-to-day activities, including participation in executive-level meetings with regarding staffing needs related to company Operations; 2.

Train employees on Signet policies and procedures; 3.

Work together with administrative assistants in each location to ensure company protocol is followed correctly; 4.

Development of a superior workforce while adhering to company policy; 5.

Recruiting and Development in an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance; 6.

Major areas of focus: o Recruiting and staffing; o employee orientation, development, and training; o policy development and maintenance of employee documentation; o employee relations; o employment and compliance to regulatory concerns; o compensation and benefits administration; o employee welfare, wellness and health; 7.

Regulatory Compliance reports for EEOC audits, 1099s, 1095s, 1094s, projects, filing, mailings, etc.


Manages of 401k elections, contributions and loans; 9.

Manages paid time off (Vacation and Sick time) records for company employees; 10.

Ensure accurate benefit deductions and record keeping; 11.

Oversight of payroll, performs weekly and bi-weekly payroll audits before payroll is released 12.

Knowledge of benefits and labor laws for multiple states (Texas, Mississippi, and Florida) 13.

Manages E-Verify, Child Support, Background Checks, and Crew Credentials Verifications.


Administers the Random Drug Testing Program 15.

Perform other duties and special projects as needed; Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Minimum GPA of 3.0 At least 3 years’ experience performing administrative, payroll or HR related functions in a professional office environment; Quick Books Experience required; Must have Microsoft Office Knowledge (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe); Background in the maritime industry is preferred, but not required.
