SVP, North America – Travel Sellers

Summary of the role:

Are you the next SVP, North America
– Travel Sellers we are looking for?

  • You will be responsible for defining and implementing the Amadeus commercial and business development strategy in North America for travel sellers (leisure travel agencies, cruise lines, tour operators, air consolidators and business travel management companies) and will lead sales and account management teams to drive organic and new business growth.
  • You will have strong business development skills, will develop and maintain strategic top-level relationships with customers and prospects to support business growth.
  • You will be reporting to EVP Americas, this person will be an integral part of Amadeus Americas management team and will also work closely with the leaders in other business units.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead and direct new business development efforts.

    Translate vision and mission into actionable quantitative plans.

  • Drive team to achieve assigned retention and new sales targets, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
  • Manage account leads to support delivery of top-line revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee revenue forecasts and profitability of all accounts.
  • Provide leadership, support and supervision to the sales and account management team; inspire, motivate, train and mentor.
  • Work with travel sellers (agency community) and internal stakeholders to uncover business needs and objectives, develop strategies, and identify products to help achieve client goals to build top-line revenue.
  • Serve as a key senior representative of the company for industry associations, media and other public relations opportunities.
  • Maintain a high-performance team.
  • Ensure a robust after sales process to deliver strong customer engagement.
  • Monitor market/competitive trends.

About the ideal candidate:

  • Relevant Work Experience:
    • Proven ability to lead, support, and maintain multi-year, multi-million-dollar relationships at the senior levels from small to large and highly complex clients.
    • 10+ years overall sales and account management experience.
    • Experience in leading teams across multiple geographic locations.
    • Travel industry experience required.
    • Experience managing significant P & L.
    • Entrepreneurial attitude coupled with strong business acumen.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including public speaking skills.
    • Experience working with C-level clients and across entire organizations.
