Job Summary: The Regional Construction Manager will be responsible for the following actions on a regional basis; 1.

understanding and ensuring all contract requirements are implemented.

Accomplishing these responsibilities by reviewing and updating the project timetable with the Project Architect and Owner.

3.

Whenever an issue is in question, position is responsible for coordinating the resolution and ensuring its implementation.

4.

Will oversee the projects and act as key contact with the client, the project architect, and HDC’s team.

5.

Responsible for the coordination of the Construction Team and all communication between the team and the Hospital.

6.

Broad knowledge of construction practices and methods allows position to provide cost solutions to the construction team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
– REGIONALLY:
· Expedites the projects.

· Assist in developing the project budget and construction schedule before and during project construction.

· Reviews construction status with the Construction Manager and Project Superintendent.

· Meets with architect and engineering team to review plans, clarify construction details, and recommend solutions to obtain a quality project.

· Assembling a list of subcontractors, pre-qualifying the subcontractors for experience and financial stability and to schedule maintenance.

· Ensures that status reports are prepared, payment requests processed and the overall construction timeline maintained.

· Coordination of the closeout of the project.

· Ensures as-built plans, Operations and Maintenance Manuals and all contract requirements are complete.

· Responsible for the on-site Construction Managers and Superintendents performance.

· Ensures construction progress is on schedule, construction costs are within budgets, subcontractors are performing within the solicitation requirements, and interim life safety measures and hospital regulations and requirements are incorporated into the work.

· Knowledge is especially valuable during construction as site conditions arise, providing solutions that save time and construction expense.

· Meets regularly with Construction Manager and Project Superintendents and assists in the project construction, ensuring schedules, budgets and project requirements are maintained.

· Updates construction schedules provide coordination with the Agencies having jurisdiction and conducts project inspections with State and Licensing Personnel.

Additional Responsibilities:
· Financial reporting for all projects within the region monthly.

· Publishing quarterly accrual reports on a quarterly basis.

Information Management:
· Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Risk Management:
· Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations.

Additional Requirements (optional, i.e., Safety Management, etc.:
· Knowledge of Job site safety, interim life safety, and infection control issues relative to hospital construction and renovation projects.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or experience in a related field required.

· Experience: 10 plus years of management experience; healthcare or related business knowledge preferred, broad understanding of construction industry, strong team player, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· License / Certification: Preferred Position Qualifications:
· Prior experience managing an office or Division of a Construction Company.
