The Emergency department Registered Nurse / RN is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for the patient presenting to the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse / RN demonstrates knowledge in the areas of Triage, Critical Care and EMTALA requirements. The ED Registered Nurse / RN participates in-patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Certifications
Current state registration Registered Nurse / RN’s with 2 or more years of experience must have attended an ENA approved Triage Course and have current ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications.
