Sr.Manager – Public & Hybrid Cloud


This is a Contract position in Round Rock, TX posted December 3, 2019.

Job DescriptionWe provide the building blocks, platforms and self-service tools that enable high availability, operationally resilient and scalable applications to be built to enable our business to deliver value to our development teams.

This team is responsible for running public /hybrid cloud implementation to deploy Dell applications.

As part of this team, you will lead a talented group of technology professionals who enjoy taking on challenges, such as: Shape and deliver our Public /Hybrid Cloud Platform services strategy Lead technical design and execution in an agile environment Partner with application development leaders to bring value through cloud technologyQualifications: 12 years of experience in software development, project management, public cloud management with 5 years of Management experience.

Expertise in using and managing cloud platforms and cloud native tools.

Manage end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.

Experience managing cloud adoption.

Project management experience with software and infrastructure projects.

Software Development experience
– proficiency with at least one scripting or programming language: Shell, Python, Ruby, Java, Node, Golang, or Perl.

Working experience in public cloud(Azure , AWS , GCP) usage and implementation.

Understanding of micro service architecture/ distributed systems architecture.

Expertise in VMware technologies like VRA , VCF and NSX .

Strong leadership skills.

Able to energize a team and articulate a meaningful vision.

Clear understanding of DevOps, Automated testing, and Continuous Integration practices and their role in Agile Software Development and vision to where and when to automate.

Proven ability to deliver product.

Strong written and oral communication skills.Responsibilities: Provides subject matter expertise to other groups on cloud native capabilities and tools Establishes and maintains Key Performance Indicators for the overall health of the service and build tools to exercise and evaluate if these KPIs are being met Works cross-functionally with other teams to surface common pain points, architect solutions, establish conventions, and evangelize platform services and operations best practices.

Transforms discoveries into requests to others or action items for you and your team.

Hires, mentors and grows a team of passionate engineers who work well across the company and are subject matter experts in cloud platforms and cloud native technologies.

Works within the team on priorities and help specifying the deliverables around governance software, best practices, examples.

Defines individual performance objectives and development plans and ensure alignment with individual growth and organizational objectives.
