IT Infrastructure Manager

This is a Full-time position in Irving, TX posted October 13, 2021.

This fast-paced, hands-on leadership position reports to the CIO and is responsible for infrastructure and network system implementations, operations, and monitoring. Managing a team of technical support staff, the Technology Manager is responsible for supporting critical infrastructure as well as providing solutions to technical challenges. This hands-on leadership position also manages external IT vendors and has direct contact with internal department leaders. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of local and offshore Help Desk Technicians, System Administrators, and Database Administrators
  • Supervise and assist in the administration of the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 and above, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS
    • VMware vSphere & vCloud Director, Windows Hyper-V
    • Citrix XenApp
    • Enterprise backup software
    • Telephony system, including call routing and phone setup
    • Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office applications
    • Microsoft Azure, Office365, AWS, and/or other cloud-based platforms
  • Develop and implement documented policies and procedures
  • Provide detailed project planning and execution steps to ensure successful rollout of infrastructure activities
  • Ensure end-user satisfaction through prompt resolution of incidents and service requests
  • Develop and implement roadmap for infrastructure growth and modernization
  • Oversee Change Management for enterprise systems
  • Troubleshoot network issues (WAN and LAN), FTP, and VPN
  • Manage the purchasing and stocking of technology supplies and licenses


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Military/other experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 7+ years of experience administering infrastructure and network systems (preferably retail industry)
  • Strong focus on customer service and ensuring the best technology experience for users
  • Detail-oriented, organized and focused on quality
  • Flexible and creative; able to handle changing priorities
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS, switch configuration, and general network setup
  • Windows, Citrix, SQL, Script writing experience
  • Extensive systems and network troubleshooting skills
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server platform
  • Experience adapting to rapidly changing environments and developing/documenting IT operational procedures, documentation, and related operations framework
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally; good phone skills)
  • Ability to work with all levels of management internal and external to the company and deliver first-class customer service
  • Microsoft Azure, 365 Administration, or related certifications
  • CCNA, Network+ or related certifications
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; structured thinker
  • Ability to prioritize based on business and technical needs
