Armor is headquartered in Plano, TX. This role is fully remote. Cybersecurity Solution Consultant Summary: Armor is looking for a highly motivated individual who has the desire to apply their technical expertise in a consultative approach with existing and potential customers as well as create a revenue stream in a professional services model. The Solution Consultant is the technical lead with broad security operations expertise in threat modeling & security monitoring, as well as domain-specific knowledge of Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware, and various on-premises hybrid environments. The Solution Consultant works with internal and external customers in a pre-sales, professional services environment to develop, assess and deliver tailored solutions leveraging Armor’s portfolio of security services. In this role within the Product Organization, the Solution Consultant will possess: Experience in foundational cloud computing concepts and practices Technical security-related subject matter expertise in the following cloud platforms: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform Acumen in the orchestration and countermeasure development of security technologies and services to ensure that Armor’s dynamic security solutions protect against threats Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud attack surfaces, MITRE TTPs and their respective mitigations. Foundational knowledge of PCI DSS, HIPAA, and HITRUST compliance controls Solid presentation, communication, and written skills Solution Consultant Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned as required) Owns the technical aspects of a client pre-sales relationship including but not limited to client engagement, design, feature discussion, and deployment planning Conduct threat modelling exercises across the customer environments to determine gaps in detection capability. Perform risk and security assessments in cloud and hybrid environments Responsible for building Statements of Work (SOWs) for custom solutions Create a positive customer experience while executing SOWs that generate pipeline for recurring revenue streams Supports all aspects of the partner technical relationship; including, but not limited to partner innovation, engineering and integration strategies, evangelism, portfolio enablement, and sales support. Design and delivery of technical diagrams, client RFP responses and accuracy of quoting of solutions Provides active feedback and recommendations from the field to Armor leadership on solutions to improve the Armor service offering, overall service levels and customer engagement Develops technical enablement in the form of workshops including materials, demos, and product/service integration when appropriate Triaging incidents across the duration of a Proof-of-Value (POV) to demonstrate the capabilities of Armor’s solutions and services Support of Armor’s growth goals as lead technology evangelism of key alliances contributing to blogs, whitepapers, videos, case studies, etc. Represent Armor in community engagement at industry conferences, webinars, executive briefings, and other events as applicable Deliver training to both internal and external teams in support of Armor products Solution Consultant Required Knowledge & Skills: Expertise in cloud computing concepts, security features, and reference architectures for the top cloud platforms including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform Knowledge developing technical and conceptual reference architectures Ability to correlate and communicate security gaps with their respective risks to executives Broad security skills with a working knowledge of counter-threat and counter-adversary security operations activities – such as log analysis, incident response and threat intelligence Excellence in a goal-oriented working environment where interactivity and teamwork are a focus Top-notch verbal, written, and presentation skills Flexibility in working with clients of various sizes both in-person and remotely Excellent organizational and communication skills Technically and strategically self sufficient Eager to take initiative and quickly adapt to market changes A strong desire to make an immediate impact and to learn in a rapidly growing organization Travel may be required up to 15-20% Solution Consultant Education And/Or Experience: 2 years of Security or Sales Engineering; or Solution Consulting experience required AWS and/or Azure certifications; or must achieve Certs within 6 months Bachelor’s degree or related work experience GIAC and Offensive Security certifications are strongly preferred.
