You’ll take as manyas 50-70 calls per day from customers who have questions about their healthbenefits.

As their advocate, you’ll use your personality and our tools to helpthem through the health care benefits available to them, including helping themenroll in a new plan.

This is no small opportunity.

Thisposition is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday Friday.

Employees are requiredto have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normalbusiness hours of 7:00am 8:00pm.

It may be necessary, given the businessneed, to work occasional overtime.

Our office is located at 6200 NorthwestParkway San Antonio, TX 78249.Weoffer 8 weeks of paid training.

The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pmMonday-Friday.Training will be conducted virtually from yourhome.Whatwe do defines who we are.

Take a deeper look at how we’re providing supportduring this global health crisis and search for a way you can get involved.View our Covid-19 Resources Page at: https://info.Uhg.Com/PrimaryResponsibilities:Respond toand resolve, on the first call, customer service inquires and issues byidentifying the topic and type of assistance the caller needs such as benefits,eligibility and claims, financial spending accounts and correspondence Help guideand educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-drivenhealth care topics to select the best benefit plan options, maximize the valueof their health plan benefits and choose a quality care provider Initiateproactive outreach to members as needed, which may involve welcoming newmembers to our health plans, addressing gaps in care, reviewing coverage, andreferring & enrolling them to internal specialists and programs based ontheir needs and eligibilityContactcare providers (doctor’s offices) on behalf of the customer to assist withappointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance Assistcustomers in navigating myuhc.Com and other UnitedHealth Group websites andencourage and reassure them to become self-sufficient Thisrole is equally challenging and rewarding.

You’ll be called on to researchcomplex issues pertaining to the caller’s health, status and potential planoptions.

To do this, you’ll need to navigate across multiple databases whichrequires fluency in computer navigation and toggling while confidently andcompassionately engaging with the caller.

You’llbe rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that willchallenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in yourrole as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.RequiredQualifications:High SchoolDiploma, GED, or Equivalent work experienceMinimum of3 years of combined education, work and/or volunteer experiencePreferred Qualifications:HealthCare/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plandocuments, or benefit plan design)Socialwork, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion and behaviorchange (working with vulnerablepopulations)Sales oraccount management experienceCustomerService ExperienceUnitedHealthGroup is an essential business.
