Texans Credit Union has a great opportunity for a Member Service Representative to join our Member Connect (Call Center) team! This is an ideal position for candidates who thrive on providing exceptional customer service by phone! This position works at our Headquarters in Richardson and requires ability to work weekdays and Saturdays.The Member Service Representative (MSR) serves as a liaison between the member and the Credit Union by providing information on the full range of credit union products and services as well as account information by phone. The MSR opens new accounts and performs account service and maintenance transactions of all types for members. Additional services may include cross training on more complex account servicing as well as inbound loan applications.POSITION OVERVIEW:Deliver exceptional service for requests of every kind, including but not limited to:* Online and mobile services* Account modifications* Account reconciliations* Existing loans (questions, payments, etc.)* Debit card management* Opening new accounts and servicing existing accounts* Transfers between accounts* Withdrawals and check requests* Certificate of Deposit transactions* Line of Credit advancesThe Member Service Representative will assist in resolving escalated member issues within given limits and authority and will also promote and cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs. This position will also provide support to the e-Branch sales team including working outbound call lists.REQUIREMENTSSpecific knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position:* Bilingual skills would be a plus!* Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Word* Ability to communicate clearly and courteously to members and co-workers* Effective interpersonal skills and confidence to offer products and services to members* An outgoing phone personality* Ability to sit for prolonged periodsEDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCEMinimum 1 year experience in a Call Center environment, preferably in a Financial institutionPrior cross-selling experience of products and servicesNOTE: Candidates must successfully complete a credit check, background check and drug screen.
