Construction Project Manager


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted January 12, 2019.

Regulvar is looking for a construction project manager, specialized in automatic control and integration, to join its team. Our projects include different areas such as LEED, geothermal energy, solar energy (thermal and voltaic), lighting and the latest technological innovations (IoT, Data Analytic, Cloud) to meet our clients’ expectations.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the branch manager, the project manager will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including engineers, technicians and electricians. He will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Planning and overseeing schedules, manpower needs and material requirements;
  • Ensuring proper communication between all intervening parties involved in the project, internal or external;
  • Offering technical assistance to electricians and technicians;
  • Managing administrative aspects such as costs, work progress, project invoicing and followups for amendments;
  • Proposing solutions and developing solid business relationships based on clients’ needs;
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and practices.

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, building mechanical systems or instrumentation and control;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and personnel management in construction or building mechanical systems;
  • Good sense of organization and planning;
  • Ability to synthesize;
  • Good communication skills, written and spoken;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Knowledge in HVAC, an important asset;
  • Bilingualism, an asset;
  • Knowledge of Delta products, an asset;
  • Worker health and safety awareness training completed, an asset.
