Administrative Assistant


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted January 11, 2019.

Administrative assistant needed for our private sector client who is located in the downtown Ottawa area. This reputable boutique law firm requires a bilingual professional to work with the office manager and complete all administrative support tasks. This will include mostly office administration as well as errands and tasks performed outside of the office (always during office hours). Roles and Responsibilities
Write and review letters, prepare documents to be sent out, and manage filing.
Follow up on client correspondence and prepare folders for client meetings.
Complete court runs; bringing legal documents to the court for legal proceedings.
Complete bank runs; bring cheques on a regular basis to the bank for daily deposits/transactions.

Qualifications and Experience
Must have a minimum of 6 month of relatable office experience.
Strong asset to have previous experience in a law firm, and/or have a legal assistant/law clerk Diploma completed.
Must be fluently bilingual in English and French; both oral and written.
Must have thorough experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Must be able to complete errands outside of the office to drop off files at the courthouse on a regular basis.

Education and Certifications
Minimum education required: High School Diploma
Hours of work are Monday through Friday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm.
