Primary purpose is to support Field Operations (US and Canada) and Multiple Corporate Functional areas with forecasts, analysis of financial results through variance analysis to budget / forecast, and annual Business Plans, Annual Field Budget, Mid-Year Plan and Bi-Monthly Forecasts, Franchise Fee Pricing, Lease Purchases/Relocations, and ad hoc research and reporting for the CFO, leadership in Operations and/or Planning.

LI-AB1 Responsibilities Analyzes trends and other relevant information to develop operating assumptions necessary to complete Business Plans, Budgets, Mid-Year Plan and Bi-Monthly Forecasts.

Gain a thorough understanding of key business drivers and effective communication of analysis.

Regularly interact with Field Operations to provide financial support, verification of results and reporting.

Prepare comprehensive monthly / YTD results dashboard that involves comparative analysis of budgets versus current year forecasts / actual results and prior year results.

Address or escalate Field Operations inquires as a primary financial liaison to ensure timely, appropriate action / resolution and/or effective interpretation of the financial implications of business activities.

Build budgets for 8,000 stores for US and Canada across 200 financial lines for 12 month annual budget process.

Budget for existing store base (same stores), new stores, closed stores, flip-flops, acquisitions, gas tank removals, and other unique situations.

Model current YTD plus forecasted ROY spending to build next year budgets.

Perform anomaly analysis to remove noise from budgets and systematically budget for each unique financial line based on historical trends, expected future spending based on feedback from functional departments and upcoming programs / initiatives spending.

Analysis of operational and functional areas of the company including senior management requests for information and analysis.

Examples include creating / maintaining a reporting system to track and analyze financial performance of unprofitable stores and performing analysis on the impact of potential divestitures / store closures.

Collaborate with Development, Fuels, Franchising, and Operations teams to maintain each store’s current network plan and operation action plan to improve performance on a monthly basis.

Perform annual review to finalize under-performing store closure decisions with executive team to improve store base.

Create ad hoc analysis of under-performing stores for M&A / Development team and executive team reviews.

Analysis and reporting of ROIC and other financial matrix to gage new store performance by specified segmentation criteria.

Participate in department initiatives to build / implement new tools for forecasting and budgeting.

Forecast future spending based on modeled historical data and upcoming programs / initiatives.

Work with numerous functional departments to build inputs into the forecasts / budgets.

Franchise Fee Pricing / Model / Meetings support Franchising Department by providing franchise fees for both corporate and franchised (goodwill) sales utilizing appropriate historical store finances for forecast models as inputs.

Respond to requests to evaluate stores for fee adjustment based on market conditions.

Provide a report summarizing franchise fees on the 14th day of the month to the Franchise Quality Team.

Qualifications Education: Bachelors/4 year Degree in Business or Finance.

Experience: 4 years of Extensive knowledge of financial modeling and reporting.

Requires advanced computer skills using spreadsheet software, familiarity with database applications, downloading data from mainframe systems and use of word processing software.

Requires ability to draft correspondence that accompanies requests for information in a clear and concise manner.

Requires understanding of mathematical concepts necessary to make growth projections and net present value calculations.

Must understand impact/use of multi-spreadsheet linking capabilities and must have ability to quickly learn systems for implementation/development.

Analysis skills and the ability to solve problems independently is critical.
