Accounting Specialist

An Automotive Accounting & Billing Specialist to join our Consumer Team, who will be responsible for recording vehicle purchases

and maintaining receivable records. The mission of the Accounting & Billing Specialist is to accurately record the purchase, sale, and

profit on all Consumer units, and to maintain accurate accounting of vehicle inventories.

Pay: 20.00-24.01/Hourly

Responsibilities:

– Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts

receivables data.

– Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.

– Process pay-off checks for trade-ins and mail to appropriate financial institution in a timely manner.

– Processing of invoices.

– Accounts reconciliation according to accounting cycles.

– Ensuring end of month procedures are completed in a timely manner.

– Communicate with remarketing, accounting, and management personnel regarding vehicle purchases, Aging inventory and

Outstanding Receivable balances

– Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

– Verify discrepancies and resolve issues.

Candidate Qualifications:

– Automotive experience is a MUST

– Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an automotive billing clerk.

– Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.

– An understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred.

– Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations

– Knowledge of general ledger accounting.

– Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

– Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting DMS/ERP software

– Experience with Inventory reconciliations and bank deposits is a plus

– Ability to work independently and minimal direction and to meet deadlines

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

– Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally

– Ability to locate data in a computer database for the purpose of reconciling accounts, researching, and resolving inquiries
